# Is Langify still worth paying for now that Shopify's native Translate & Adapt is free and improving?

Strip out what Translate & Adapt already does for free and two items remain. Langify's website still lists bulk translation and unlimited languages on Basic ([Langify](https://lp.langify-app.com/en), October 2026). Its listing and Help Center put bulk translation on Growth and cap languages at 20, so confirm before relying on either. ## What does leaving Langify cost in 2026?

Leaving Langify v2 costs little beyond what sits in its Custom Content section, because Langify v2 keeps standard translations in Shopify's own storage. Since December 2019, new customers get Langify v2, which is built on Shopify's Translation application programming interface (API) ([Langify Help Center](https://support.langify-app.com/support/solutions/articles/11000081199-which-version-of-langify-do-i-have-installed-), October 2026). Translate & Adapt shows content created by apps that use that interface ([Shopify Help Center](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/international/languages/translate-adapt-app/requirements), October 2026). So Langify v2's product, collection and page translations already sit where Translate & Adapt can open them.

## When should you not cancel Langify?

Don't cancel Langify mid-season, before you export, or before app text has a new home, because each of those turns a saving into a visible gap in one market.

## Deploi's point of view

**What we've seen.** The cancellation that goes badly is the one nobody exported first. The cancellation that goes well starts with a CSV, a spot check of three product pages per locale, and a fortnight of overlap.

**Where we disagree.** The stock advice is "native is free, so cancel." That advice is right for a store within Translate & Adapt's automatic-language limit and wrong everywhere else, and it is given without anyone asking how many locales you run. Ask the locale count first and the answer falls out.
