Methodology
Caveats: Median Lighthouse accessibility score by ecommerce platform, 2022 to 2026
- Lighthouse runs automated checks only. A score is not a WCAG conformance rate.
- Medians cover every origin HTTP Archive detects on each platform, worldwide and at all traffic ranks, not only stock themes.
- The Wix and Squarespace medians cover every site HTTP Archive detects on each platform, whether or not it sells. Its Wix eCommerce detection matched 123,133 of the 181,912 Wix origins it crawled on mobile in September 2026, and the medians of those stores were within half a point of all Wix origins, mobile and desktop, in each September crawl of 2022, 2024 and 2026. HTTP Archive cannot set Squarespace stores apart: its Squarespace Commerce detection matched 92,762 of the 92,778 Squarespace origins.
- HTTP Archive reports scores from 0 to 1. Pages and charts show them out of 100.
- The dataset holds the September crawl of 2022, 2024 and 2026 only.
