Can B2B net-terms invoices be exported directly to QuickBooks or NetSuite, or does that require a connector app?
Short answer
Business-to-business (B2B) net-terms invoices reach QuickBooks or NetSuite through a connector app, not a direct export, because Shopify's export is an orders spreadsheet with payment terms and due dates (Shopify Help Center, October 2026). Intuit's QuickBooks connector imports B2B orders as invoices (Intuit QuickBooks, June 2026); Oracle's NetSuite connector does so on a $916.58-a-month B2B plan (Oracle NetSuite, October 2026).

- An orders CSV with terms and due dateThe orders export has 'Payment terms' and 'Next payment due at' columns, and nothing posts it to a ledger. Deploi’s call
Use a connector, because Shopify has no direct export, but treat it as the tool that executes the decision, not the decision. The invoice-versus-receipt mapping and the company-versus-location customer mapping are the decision. Write those two answers down before anybody installs anything.
BuyInstall the ledger vendor's own connector when
- QuickBooks Online is your ledger. Intuit's connector imports business-to-business (B2B) orders as invoices and maps companies to customers (Intuit, June 2026).
- NetSuite runs standard order flows. Oracle's B2B plan posts invoices with terms such as Net 30 (Oracle NetSuite, October 2026), for $916.58 a month (Oracle's listing, October 2026).
- Your accountant confirms the connector's mapping fits your rules, the test our QuickBooks and Xero sync record uses to score a connector BUY (October 2026).
CustomizeOwn the mapping layer when
- B2B orders don't land as invoices with their terms and due dates, which our receivables record scores CUSTOMIZE: fix the mapping first (October 2026).
- Company locations bill separately, or one remittance pays several orders.
- Kits, partial fulfillments or a second fulfillment partner fight the connector's templates, the case our NetSuite integration record scores DEPENDS (October 2026).
Basis: Build or Buy Receivables Aging and Collections on Shopify?, our Build vs. Buy decision record, scored CUSTOMIZE.
Can Shopify export B2B net-terms invoices directly to QuickBooks or NetSuite?
Shopify can't export business-to-business (B2B) net-terms invoices directly to QuickBooks or NetSuite, because it records net terms on the order rather than as an invoice. Shopify defines payment terms as "Payment conditions for an Order or DraftOrder, including when payment is due and how it's scheduled" (Shopify developer docs, October 2026). How net terms run from order to payment covers the Shopify side.
Shopify's native way out is the orders export: a comma-separated values (CSV) file with "Payment terms" and "Next payment due at" columns (Shopify Help Center, October 2026). Nothing posts that file to a ledger. For a live sync, Shopify points to "direct integrations from the Shopify App Store" (Shopify Help Center, October 2026). QuickBooks Online and Oracle's NetSuite connector are among them, and each syncs payment terms and payment status.
So a connector app, not Shopify, builds the invoice your books need from the order Shopify holds.
Which QuickBooks Online listing records B2B orders as invoices?
The QuickBooks Online listing at apps.shopify.com/qbconnector records business-to-business (B2B) orders as invoices, and Intuit's second QuickBooks Online listing never mentions B2B. Intuit's June 2026 update "automatically imports B2B Shopify orders as invoices with company details" and syncs paid status both ways (Intuit QuickBooks, June 2026).
| Listing | Developer | Rating | Reviews | What it says about B2B |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| apps.shopify.com/qbconnector | Intuit | 4.6 | About 3,300 | "Record B2B orders as invoices, with customer and product details aligned" |
| apps.shopify.com/quickbooks | Intuit Inc. | 2.1 | 64, with 69% one star | No mention of B2B |
Shopify warns that some App Store integrations "aren't fully compatible with Shopify B2B, specifically companies and catalogs" (Shopify Help Center, October 2026), and its B2B App Guide lists Intuit's qbconnector listing, not apps.shopify.com/quickbooks (Shopify App Store, October 2026). So check the URL and developer before you install. Recent reviews of that listing still report manual work and gaps after Intuit's connector update, from tax codes to class mapping (QuickBooks Online listing, October 2026). So test a month of B2B orders before you trust the sync.
How do B2B net-terms orders reach NetSuite?
Business-to-business (B2B) net-terms orders reach NetSuite through a connector. Oracle's own NetSuite ERP Connector, built for its enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, now posts them as invoices. Oracle says its Shopify B2B connector "automatically generates invoices in NetSuite upon order synchronization" and syncs "terms such as Net 30, deposits, and payment milestones" (Oracle NetSuite, October 2026). Payments taken in Shopify link to those invoices, and payments applied in NetSuite flow back to mark the Shopify orders paid. That B2B plan costs $916.58 a month, against $199.92 for the entry plan (Oracle's App Store listing, October 2026).
Celigo's Shopify B2B template works differently, so check which record each connector creates. In Celigo's template, companies become NetSuite customers, locations become sub-customers, and orders sync "as sales orders" (Celigo, October 2026). Celigo's paid plans on its listing start at $7,800 a year, after a 30-day free trial (Celigo, October 2026). Shopify's Winter '26 B2B roundup also names Patchworks for NetSuite customer records, orders and pricing (Shopify, January 2026). Whether each order posts as its own transaction or as a batched journal is a separate NetSuite posting decision.
Which mapping decisions make a B2B accounting sync trustworthy?
Five mapping decisions make a business-to-business (B2B) sync into your ledger or enterprise resource planning (ERP) system trustworthy, and they matter more than the connector's brand. Settle them with whoever signs the receivables number. Our net terms record puts the split plainly: "Shopify records the term; the ERP owns the ledger" (October 2026).
- Invoice or sales receipt. A net-terms order must create an accounts receivable (AR) invoice with the right due date. A paid sales receipt on a Net 30 order understates receivables from the first sync.
- Which customer owns the invoice. Intuit maps Shopify companies to QuickBooks customers (Intuit, June 2026). Celigo assigns orders to the parent company unless its assign-to-location setting is on (Celigo, October 2026). Oracle syncs each company's buyers as sub-customers (Oracle NetSuite, October 2026). Pick company or location once.
- Where payments get applied. Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments, open only to US stores and US bank accounts (Shopify Help Center, October 2026), come with "automatic payment matching and reconciliation" (Shopify, January 2026). A wire recorded by hand has none, so decide where finance applies cash.
- Who owns partial payments. Shopify records partial payments order by order, and only on Shopify Plus (Shopify Help Center, October 2026). So a remittance covering several invoices gets split in the ledger, which holds the open balances.
- How refunds and credits post. A refund on an order and store credit on a company location are different events, so map them to different accounts.
When should you not connect Shopify B2B to your ledger yet?
Don't connect Shopify business-to-business (B2B) orders to your ledger until someone owns the mapping, because a connector enforces whatever it was configured with.
Deploi’s point of view
Our own position, from building on Shopify. Kept apart from the sourced facts above.
- What we’ve seen
- Duplicate and near-duplicate app listings are a recurring hazard in this hub's research, and this is the clearest case we have documented: two listings, the same company, the same name, a 2.5-star spread, and only one of them mentions B2B. Copy the full URL from the listing you evaluated into your own documentation. The name is not an identifier.
- Where we disagree
- Accounting sync is usually scoped as an IT integration and handed to whoever owns apps. It is a controls decision. The person who should sign off is the one who signs the receivables number, because they are the one who will discover a receipt-instead-of-invoice mapping at year end.

This follows from How exactly do net payment terms (Net 30/60/90) work for B2B customers on Shopify, from invoice to payment?
- Should Shopify order data post to NetSuite as individual invoices or as a single daily/weekly batched journal entry?
Individual NetSuite transactions win for Shopify orders and batched entries win for payouts, so the answer is both, not either.
- Is there a real store-credit solution for B2B customers, or only manual workarounds today?
Shopify business-to-business (B2B) store credit is native: you issue it to a company location, and its authorized buyers spend it (Shopify Help Center, October 2026).
- At what GMV or order-volume level does QuickBooks actually stop being enough for a Shopify brand, and what specifically breaks first?
QuickBooks Online has no gross merchandise value (GMV) or order-volume ceiling: Intuit's usage limits cap users, accounts, classes, locations and sales channels, never orders or revenue (QuickBooks Help, October 2026).
