What this means for your decision
- Choosing a platform for speed? In HTTP Archive's September 2026 mobile data, 76% of Shopify origins pass the Core Web Vitals assessment, second of the six platforms tracked after Wix at 81%, and ahead of WooCommerce at 39%, computed by Deploi. Use the ranking to see where sites on each platform typically land, not as the result your site will get.
- Making the case for a replatform? The data cannot show that moving platforms improves speed. Platforms host different kinds of sites, so a gap such as 76% against 39% describes the sites on each platform, not what a platform does to any one site.
- Deciding which vital to work on? Loading separates platforms most, with LCP pass rates from 43% on WooCommerce to 88% on Shopify. On Shopify, INP passes on 87% of the origins rated on it, second lowest of the six platforms tracked, so check responsiveness as well as loading.
- Planning a build or replatform? Deploi builds ecommerce sites. Contact Deploi, and measure your own site before you treat a platform average as a target.
How do Shopify sites rank on Core Web Vitals against other platforms?
Wix leads the six platforms tracked at 81% of mobile origins passing the Core Web Vitals assessment, with Shopify second at 76%, 339,538 of 445,297 tested origins, then Squarespace at 71%, BigCommerce at 63%, Magento at 45% and WooCommerce at 39%, in HTTP Archive's September 2026 data, computed by Deploi.
A site passes the assessment when its loading (LCP), responsiveness (INP) and layout stability (CLS) are rated good. A site without enough INP data is assessed on LCP and CLS alone, which is why 339,538 Shopify origins pass overall while 324,684 are rated good on INP. The chart ranks the six platforms on that overall pass.
Which Core Web Vital separates the platforms most?
Loading speed splits the platforms most. In HTTP Archive's September 2026 mobile data, 88% of Shopify origins pass the loading check (LCP), against 85% for Wix, 84% for BigCommerce, 78% for Squarespace, 58% for Magento and 43% for WooCommerce, computed by Deploi.
The Core Web Vital control switches the chart between LCP (loading), INP (responsiveness) and CLS (layout shift). Each option shows the mobile pass rate by platform for that vital.

How do the platforms compare on responsiveness?
Responsiveness separates the platforms least: each of the six platforms tracked passes INP on at least 84% of the mobile origins rated on it in HTTP Archive's September 2026 data, computed by Deploi. Squarespace and BigCommerce lead at 97%, Wix passes 93%, WooCommerce 91%, Shopify 87% and Magento 84%.
Shopify's 87% is the second lowest of the six, ahead of only Magento. INP is the vital where Shopify trails four of the other five platforms.
Which platforms keep page layouts stable?
Of the six platforms tracked, Wix passes the layout stability check (CLS) most often, at 98% of tested mobile origins in HTTP Archive's September 2026 data, computed by Deploi. Shopify passes at 92%, Squarespace at 89%, WooCommerce at 89%, BigCommerce at 73% and Magento at 71%.
Magento passes CLS least often of the six.
How many origins sit behind each platform's rate?
The pass rates rest on very different group sizes in HTTP Archive's September 2026 mobile data: 542,541 tested WooCommerce origins, 445,297 Shopify, 177,709 Wix, 89,052 Squarespace, 32,325 Magento and 11,660 BigCommerce. Each rate is good origins over tested origins, computed by Deploi, so the smaller groups carry more uncertainty.
Counts are origins tested for the overall assessment. INP is rated on fewer origins on every platform, for example 374,608 of Shopify's 445,297 and 119,786 of Wix's 177,709. The LCP and CLS counts sit close to the overall count.
Does moving platforms improve a site's Core Web Vitals?
The data cannot say whether a replatform improves speed. HTTP Archive's September 2026 mobile data show 76% of Shopify origins and 39% of WooCommerce origins passing the Core Web Vitals assessment, but platforms host different kinds of sites, so a pass rate describes the sites on a platform. It does not measure what a platform does to any one site.
A site's own theme, apps, images and scripts all affect its result. Measure your own site before you treat a platform average as a target.
How is the pass rate computed?
A pass rate is origins with a good rating divided by origins tested, computed by Deploi from HTTP Archive's Tech Report for September 2026, mobile, worldwide. The overall rate is the Core Web Vitals assessment, which needs good LCP and CLS plus good INP where an origin has INP data. That is why 339,538 Shopify origins pass overall, 76% of 445,297, while 324,684 are rated good on INP.
Origins are website addresses, not stores or merchants. A platform with many small sites and a platform with fewer large ones are counted by origin in the same way.

Caveats: Core Web Vitals pass rates by ecommerce platform, mobile, September 2026
- Platforms host different kinds of sites, so a pass rate describes the sites on a platform, not what the platform does to any one site.
- Pass rates are good origins over tested origins, computed by Deploi. An origin is a website address, not a store.
- Group sizes differ widely, from 542,541 tested WooCommerce origins to 11,660 BigCommerce origins in the overall assessment, so the smaller groups carry more uncertainty.
- INP is rated on fewer origins than LCP and CLS, because it needs enough interaction data.
- HTTP Archive's overall Core Web Vitals pass follows Google's assessment: an origin passes when its LCP, INP and CLS are all good, and an origin without enough INP data is assessed on LCP and CLS alone. That is why, on Shopify, Squarespace and Wix, more origins pass overall than are rated good on INP.
- Platform detection is HTTP Archive's, not Deploi's.

Questions
What percentage of Shopify sites pass Core Web Vitals?
76% of Shopify origins pass the Core Web Vitals assessment on mobile, 339,538 of 445,297 tested origins, in HTTP Archive's Tech Report for September 2026. The assessment rates an origin without INP data on LCP and CLS alone, and the pass rate is computed by Deploi as passing origins over tested origins.
Is Shopify faster than WooCommerce?
Shopify sites pass Core Web Vitals more often. In HTTP Archive's September 2026 mobile data, 76% of Shopify origins pass the Core Web Vitals assessment against 39% of WooCommerce origins, computed by Deploi. That describes the sites on each platform, not what either platform does to a given site.
Which platform passes Core Web Vitals most often?
Of the six platforms tracked, Wix, at 81% of tested mobile origins passing the Core Web Vitals assessment, in HTTP Archive's September 2026 data, computed by Deploi. Shopify is second at 76%, then Squarespace at 71%, BigCommerce at 63%, Magento at 45% and WooCommerce at 39%.
Where does Shopify fall behind other platforms?
Mostly on responsiveness (INP). Shopify also trails Wix on layout stability (CLS), 92% against 98%, and on the overall assessment, 76% against 81%, while it leads on loading (LCP) at 88%. Rates are computed by Deploi.
Will switching platforms fix my Core Web Vitals?
The data cannot say. Platforms host different kinds of sites, so a pass rate, such as 76% for Shopify or 39% for WooCommerce in HTTP Archive's September 2026 data, describes the sites on a platform, not the effect of moving a site to it.
